• Successfully maintain and continuously update and improve the multiple websites of CHD Group and affiliates, with the aim of enhancing the availability of information in real-time.
• Create high-quality visual concepts and develop production design to support main priorities, events, and campaigns.
• Development of high-quality visual concepts, videos for events and campaigns and also prepare top quality infographics, reports etc.

Work Location

Mangalore, with travel as and when required from time to time.
Expected duration
To commence from 1st February, 2021.
Initial six months will be on probation and there will be no leave permitted.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Deputy Director – HR & Finance, and in close consultation with the entire team as per directives of the CEO, CHD Group, the specialist is required to:

• Create engaging content and web pages for the overall websites, including creating sub-pages for special events or initiatives and manage the same. This will build on the existing web architecture/system.
• Maintain and continuously update and improve the official website, with the aim of enhancing the availability of information in real-time.
• Create high-quality visual concepts and develop production design
• Create visually appealing web and social media content (twitter, Instagram, YouTube), using relevant software platforms.
• Design logos, create infographics, illustrations, from conceptualization and/or through emulation of existing artwork or appropriate branding elements to support signature events and campaigns.
• Provide advice on social media and a range of public information issues, methods, and approaches.
• Contribute to the communication and outreach strategy to enhance and elevate the digital/online presence of all official channels and office of the CEO.
• Create social media packages for CHD Group’s priorities, events, activities, and campaigns.
• Contribute to the implementation of information programmes to publicize priority issues
and/or major events on all available channels, including social media.
• Monitor and use opportunities to tap into ongoing conversations, initiatives and campaigns.
• Provide regular analytics on social media outreach, as well as advice and guidance on increasing engagement with existing and new audiences.
• Abide by the Code of Ethics and institutional discipline with punctuality.
• Promote an office culture based on the shared values of professionalism, integrity, impartiality, accountability, transparency and respect.

Qualifications/special skills

• Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
• Knowledge of the full range of graphic design approaches, tools, and methodologies essential to creating attractive content in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake a diversity of tasks within a demanding, multi-stakeholder environment, to prioritize among these tasks, and to work toward short deadlines.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve goals; solicits input by genuinely valuing others’ ideas and expertise; places team agenda before personal agenda.
• Takes ownership of all responsibilities and honours commitments; delivers outputs for which one has responsibility within prescribed time and quality standards.
• Familiarity with the mandates and activities of CHD Group and sister concern institutes.
• Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.

Academic Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree minimum in IT, communications, media studies, journalism, graphic design, visual and digital media or related field.
Experience:
• A minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in social/web media/design or related area is required.
• Experience in preparing reports, designing infographics is required.
• Experience with creating digital content, video editing, graphic design, and production processes for websites is required.
• Expertise and hands on experience with web applications, programming languages and web services is required.

Language: English and Hindi are the working languages of CHD Group. For this post excellent drafting skills in the English language are required. Knowledge of an additional language is an advantage.

Additional Information
Please note that this consultancy is for local recruitment only and the selected candidate will not be entitled to relocation travel or related expenses.

Monthly payment of fee upon satisfactory completion of work assigned, as certified by the Supervisor. Employee on probation shall not be entitled to any paid leave. Monthly fees shall be prorated for any period of absence.
