Mangaluru, Sep 04 2018: Memo of Understanding (MoU) was signed between National Cheng Kung University Hospital and Center for Health and Development India (CHD Group) based in Mangaluru September 3, Monday, in Tainan City, Taiwan. Dr Edmond Fernandes, CEO, CHD Group and Prof. Chyun-Yu Yang, Superintendent, National Cheng Kung University Hospital signed the MOU at the conference room at National Cheng Kung University Hospital, Tainan City, Taiwan.
The MoU will engage the two institutions for exchange programmes, research and development centered on global health, community development initiatives and publications.
National Cheng Kung University Hospital is a national hospital located in Northern District of Tainan City, Taiwan and was established in 1980. With more than 1,200 beds, National Cheng Kung University Hospital provides a comprehensive range of specialties and high quality emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and health examination services.
CHD Group, India is a public health organization headquartered in Mangaluru city of Karnataka state in South Western India. It was established in 2014 and works with different Governments Departments, United Nation agencies, Corporate, Public Sector Units and Academic institutes of Excellence on different agendas in healthcare and development.
Dr. Jeevan R, Assistant Director, CHD Group, Dr. Hsu, I-Lin, Director, International Medical Center, Professor Ting-Hsing Chao, Chief Secretary, National Cheng Kung University Hospital, Dr. Jing-Ming, Deputy Superintendent and Director of Pediatric Cardiology, Dr. Jenq-Chang Lee, Deputy Superintendent and Dr. Chih-Jen Chang, Deputy Superintendent of the University Hospital were among the others present.
