CHD Group marked the 9th Foundation Day by holding a special training workshop on “ Health, Climate Change and Community Resilience – The World we want.”
Dr. Fatemeh Rezaei, Assistant Professor, Department of Health in Disasters & Emergencies, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Iran delivered the Keynote address. The workshop focused on how risk informed planning and policies need to be worked on to address the risk faced by communities and vulnerable populations which emerge from extreme climatic events and disasters and what can be done to plug existential gaps.
Students doing their Masters of Public Health were the participants in the day-long workshop.
Dr. Edmond Fernandes delivered the introductory lectures, followed by Isha Agarwal and Jencil Dsouza from the Edward & Cynthia Institute of Public Health (ECIPH) at Mangalore.
