About Our Project:
No oxygen, no beds, no vaccines and no food marks the tragic development of India’s gasping COVID-19 story.
India has recorded the world’s highest spike in cases over the last few weeks, with 54% cases from five states- Karnataka, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Kerala.
This surge is expected to peak mid-May with the count of cases reaching half a million and Karnataka likely to be the worst hit. As cases have soared, hospitals are running out of oxygen supplies, allowing only people with higher connections to get life-saving treatment.
Meanwhile, the vulnerable population is relying heavily on overcrowded free government hospitals where beds are running out, creating chaotic and devastating scenes.
